Biomass Plant Maintenance & Install

Biomass Plant Maintenance & Install project
Biomass Plant Maintenance and Install

We handle installation and maintenance of several different types of biomass plants.

Biomass plants are a great way to minimize energy costs by producing electricity from burning organic matter like wood chips, pellets, or logs. It’s considered a clean, renewable energy source because, while biomass plants release roughly the same amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere as fossil fuels, they don’t release greenhouses gases that wouldn’t otherwise make their way into the atmosphere like burning fossil fuels does.

Installation

Installing a biomass plant is a big undertaking, and there are some decisions to make before getting started, including regular fuel sourcing, storage, and transportation. The type of fuel you decide on will affect the design and composition of your biomass system.

Contact us, and we can walk you through your options and make recommendations for the system that might be best for you.

Maintenance

Maintenance on your biomass plant should be performed at least annually, but also as required. We recommend scheduling inspections in the spring with the planned maintenance shutdowns occurring before winter.

If you aren’t having your biomass plants regularly inspected by professionals who know how to safely test the required systems and check for key warning signs, you will end up with unplanned maintenance shutdowns, which are not only many times more inconvenient than a planned shutdown would be, but also result in more costly repairs, and can result in damage to your system that will have long-term effects on your plant’s efficiency.

We’ll work closely with you to determine your personal maintenance requirements and then build a detailed plan, that will include projected shutdown times, the best ways to minimize downtime, the testing and repair schedule that we’ll use, emergency and safety protocols, and any other information we feel is necessary for both safety and in the interest of disrupting your business as little as possible.
